STeP by Oeko-Tex®

It is a certification system that differentiates and distinguishes companies in the textile chain for their commitment to sustainable production. The objective of the STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification is the implementation of environmentally friendly production processes and optimal working conditions in terms of health, security/safety, and social responsibility. Orient has got the maximum punctuation LEVEL 3.

Requirements for SteP: Environmental Management certification

We were the first textile coating company in the world to commit to sustainable textile production, the STeP by OEKO-TEX® Sustainable Textile Production.

Orient is an organization that is concerned about the impact of its activity on the environment. That is why we invest in measures that protect the environment, anticipating all legislation on Corporate Sustainability. This is recognized by the STeP by OEKO-TEX certificate.

We have our own wastewater plant to guarantee a proper water treatment. Thanks to this plant we commit ourselves to:

To control the quality and quantity of waste and meet the targets for the reduction of volume and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) values.

To apply special measures for the management of solvents and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

To implement a LED lighting system in all facilities as an energy saving measure.

Specific recycling and reuse actions are carried out at different stages of the supply chain.

Enviromental Protection

Sustainable products: MADE IN GREEN

The MADE IN GREEN label certifies that an article has been tested to detect harmful substances. This is done by certification according to STANDARD 100 de OEKO-TEX® . It also guarantees that the textile product has been manufactured using sustainable processes under socially responsible working conditions.

Esto se lleva a cabo mediante certificación según STeP by OEKO-TEX®. You can use a unique product identification on the label to locate the countries and production facilities where the labelled item was produced.

Quality management

We count with the recognition of accredited laboratories for the manufacturing process of FR (Flame Retardant) products. This products have evolved over time and we currently count with official certificates for FR blackout curtains, coatings, resins, foams and so on.
